We are currently seeking an experienced Business Office Director to oversee the accounting and Human Resource functions at our Gorgeous brand-new Assisted Living and Memory Care community - Hearthstone Leesburg - located in Leesburg, FL.

The Business Office Director is responsible for financial and certain HumanResource duties of the Community, as assigned.
He/she may manage otheradministrative team members and administrative functions.
oCodes all invoices for payment.
oVerifies the appropriate approvals on all invoices.
oProvides vendor information to the Accounting department.
oBatches weekly invoices for payment.
oAudits expense reports and petty cash reconciliations.
oProvides month-end close accruals to Accounting department.
oResponds to all vendor inquiries.
oAdheres to the weekly accounting cycle.
oEnters post ancillary charges/fees into billing system.
oAssists General Manager in reviewing Resident bills.
oAssists General Manager with Resident file maintenance.
oDistributes Resident bills in a timely manner.
oDemonstrates an understanding of the components of an accrual basis financialstatement.
oAnalyzes variances in departmental payroll vs.
budget.
oUnderstands capital expenditure vs financial statement expense.
oAnalyzes revenue by product type.
oAssists General Manager with annual budget process.
oAssists General Manager with analyzing monthly financials.
oPulls hours from time clock.
oExports pulled hours into payroll grid.
oMakes necessary approved payroll edits in a timely manner.
oMonitors and controls employee time punches.
oExports time sheets from payroll system.
oEnsures proper recording into the payroll grid for payroll hours and dollars.
oProcesses changes in employee status.
oMonitors payroll check disbursements.
oArchives and discards payrolls at end of each cycle.
oActs as a point of contact for all HR-related matters.
oFields any team member relations matters and work in conjunction with theGeneral Manager on resolving issues.
oInterprets policies and procedures related to Human Resources and communicatesto all employees both proactively and in response to questions.
oOversees benefits management at Community level, assisting in the openenrollment process, ongoing benefits communication, and benefits orientationfor new hires.
oMaintains accurate team member files and employment records.
oAdministers the recruiting process for new hires, including searching andscreening candidates, tracking applicants, checking references and producingoffer letter.
oEnsures regulatory and legal compliance for all employment-related matters.
oHandles worker's compensation administration for Community.
oFollows all emergency procedures.
oUnderstands all safety practices and procedures.
oCommunicates effectively with General Manager and other staff.
oImmediately advises Salus Coach, Wellness Director, and General Manager ofany changes in physical and mental health of a Resident.
oReviews Concierge hours and monthly meetings with Salus Coach.
oParticipates in the monthly Manager on Duty coverage.
Qualifications:
oHigh School graduate or equivalent certificate; Associates degree preferred.
oSuccessful completion of bookkeeping/accounting courses is helpful.
o3 to 5 years' progressive experience in office management required.
oPhysically able to bend and reach.
oPhysically able to sit for extended periods of time.
oPhysically able to push and pull and lift up to 40-50 pounds if necessary.
Miscellaneous:
oMay have their picture taken and image used in social media or communityadvertising.
oMay be video recorded from devices installed by families in residents'apartments.
oRequired to work weekends and holidays as assigned.
oMay be required to work on shifts other than the one for which hired.
oMay be required to work extended hours (up to 16 hours per day).
oMay be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc.

oMay be subject to hostile and emotionally upset Residents due to mentalstatus.
oBackground, criminal, and drug tests may be required according to HR Policies& Procedures.
oMay be asked to submit to random drug test during employment.
