Community United Methodist Church (http://communityumc.church) is seeking a full-time Minister of Traditional Worship (Music) for our dynamic congregation located between Leesburg and The Villages in central Florida. Our church's traditional worship music program includes a 100 voice chancel choir that sings at our two weekly traditional Sunday services (8am and 11am), as well as a handbell choir and various vocal ensembles. The position includes planning weekly worship in coordination with the Worship Pastor, selecting hymns and choir anthems for weekly worship, leading congregational singing in worship, conducting weekly rehearsals for the choir and either conducting or supervising other ensembles and the handbell choir, supervision and scheduling of the two part-time accompanists (pianist and organist), and playing for/arranging for music on other special days (Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday) and for funerals and weddings. In the last several years the choir has toured around the eastern United States and in Europe and routinely engages in mission projects at home in addition to mission projects on their choir tours.
The ideal candidate will be a committed Christian with a calling to music ministry. He or she should also be a person of high energy, possess the creativity to engage people from different backgrounds and work as a team, and be able to plan and manage details including music library and budget, and communicate clearly and professionally. Music degree and Wesleyan/Methodist background preferred and previous demonstrated conducting experience is a must. This is full-time salaried position with personal/sick/vacation time as provided for in the church's employee handbook. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
